USDA NATIONAL NEEDS Ph.D. FELLOWSHIP IN ANIMAL MOLECULAR BIOLOGY with an emphasis in Genomics and Bioinformatics.

U.S. citizens interested in biological questions dealing with animal and microbial genomics, food safety and disease resistance, and growth and development of animals. Genetics or Bioinformatics and Computational Biology majors

USDA NATIONAL NEEDS Ph.D. FELLOWSHIP IN FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY

Eligibility: U.S. citizens interested in food safety and quality. Food Science and Technology AND Toxicology majors.

USDA NATIONAL NEEDS Ph.D. FELLOWSHIPS IN STATISTICAL GENETICS AND GENOMICS

Eligibility: U.S. citizens interested in the development and application of quantitative methods and tools for animal genomics. Genetics or Bioinformatics and Computational Biology majors.

IGERT TRAINEESHIPS

Eligibility: US citizen, admitted. Two-year NSF-IGERT traineeships are awarded competitively to US students interested in conducting research at the interface of computational and biological sciences. Possible majors include: Genetics, Bioinformics and Computational Biology, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Statistics.

PLANT SCIENCES FELLOWSHIPS

Eligibility: New, admitted Ph.D. applicants, domestic and international, to any plant science major at Iowa State University.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRONOMY RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP AWARD

Eligibility: New, admitted, exceptional Ph.D. applicants, domestic and international, willing to pursue research with a faculty member in Agronomy

GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

U.S. citizen, member of under represented group (African American, American India, Latino) admitted (full) to pursue a Ph.D. at Iowa State University.

Biotechnology Fellowships

Eligibility: All domestic and international graduate applicants applying to majors involving biotechnology will be considered for this Fellowship.

AGEP FELLOWSHIPS

Eligibility: U.S. citizen, underrepresented, admitted (full) to a Ph.D. program in the areas of either science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).

GMAP FELLOWSHIPS

Eligibility: U.S. citizen, underrepresented, admitted to a graduate program at Iowa State University.
