Interdepartmental Genetics Graduate Program - M.S./Ph.D.

Diversity of Program and Program Statistics

The Interdepartmental Genetics program enrolls between 15 and 25 new graduate students each year. The number enrolled depends on faculty need, quality of applicants, and funding availability.

For Fall 2007, twenty new domestic and international graduate students will enroll.

Total number of graduate students enrolled as of August 1, 2007, is 90.

Average Degree Completion Time: Ph.D- 5.5 yrs, M.S.- 2.75 yrs

We have 45 domestic students and 55 international students (August 1, 2007)

At least 50% of the genetics graduate students are female.

Four of the 45 domestic students enrolled in the Genetics graduate program are underrepresented students enrolled in our Ph.D. program.

International students are from: China, India, Korea, Japan, Palestine, Egypt, Argentina, Romania, Turkey, The Congo, Viet Nam, Uganda and Lithuania (includes Fall 2007 admits).
