Another view of our chromosome. Tao at the Inter-Iowa Genetics Symposia held at Grinnell, Ia on June 19-20, 1998. Tao is a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in Genetics working in the Becraft lab (maize).

Jennifer and David Hannapel at the Inter-Iowa Genetics Symposia. Genetics students and faculty from Iowa State and the University of Iowa met at Grinnell University to share their present research. Jennifer finished a Ph.D. in the Hannapel lab (Horticulture Department) and is a post doc in the Thomas Baum Lab (Plant Pathology).

Jianbo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Thomas Peterson lab (Zoology and Genetics Department) working with maize. Also pictured are two post doc's (Luda Sidorenko and Surinder Chopra) from the Peterson lab.

Jennifer, Kristen Johansen, and KariBeth. KariBeth is a Ph.D. candidate in the Tuggle lab (Animal Science Department)

Kristen Johansen, Daniel Voytas, Pam Geyer (University of Iowa), Jennifer and David Hannapel. Dan Voytas and Pam Geyer organized the two-day Symposia which featured 25 talks by genetics graduate students and faculty from both Universities in the areas of cellular dynamics and pathways, genes and development, signal transduction and chromatin and recombination.
